There's something magical about fall in the Kootenays. As the leaves turn golden and the air gets crisp, it's the perfect time to turn inward, get creative, and learn something new. That's why we're thrilled to announce that the WERX@C64 Fall Schedule is coming soon!
What is WERX@C64?
WERX@C64 is Centre 64's exciting workshop series that brings hands-on creativity to the heart of Kimberley. Whether you've always wanted to try your hand at painting, explore the world of fibre arts, develop your drawing skills, or dive into creative writing, we've got something for everyone.
Thanks to generous support from the BC Arts Council and West Kootenay Arts Council, we've recently refurbished our studio spaces to create the perfect environment for artistic exploration and experimentation. These newly updated spaces are designed specifically for hands-on creativity, giving you the tools and atmosphere you need to bring your artistic vision to life.
What Can You Expect This Fall?
Our fall programming has been carefully designed to accommodate different learning styles, schedules, and creative goals. We're offering two types of workshops:
Short-term and weekend workshops are perfect if you want to complete a project in a condensed timeframe. These intensive sessions let you create something tangible while learning new techniques, all within a weekend or a few focused sessions.
Multi-week classes are ideal for those who want to delve deeper into a particular artistic discipline. These extended courses give you time to develop your skills progressively, experiment with different approaches, and truly hone your craft.
Our workshop offerings span a diverse range of creative disciplines including drawing, painting, fibre arts, writing, and more. Whether you're a complete beginner or looking to expand your existing skills, there's a place for you at WERX@C64.
When Do Workshops Start?
Mark your calendars! Workshops will commence at Centre64 in mid-October, giving you the perfect opportunity to embrace creativity as we move into the cozier months of the year.
The detailed schedule with specific class dates, times, instructors, and registration information will be released very soon. We're putting the finishing touches on an incredible lineup of workshops that we can't wait to share with you.
