Artists Wanted: Exhibition Proposals

Artists Wanted: Exhibition Proposals

The Kimberley Arts Council at Centre 64 is now accepting exhibition proposals for the upcoming year. This is an excellent opportunity for artists, curators, and collectives to showcase their work in one of the Kootenays' premier arts venues.

About the Gallery

Centre 64's gallery is an impressive 1050 square feet with dramatic two-story ceiling height on one half and separate temperature controls from the rest of the building—ideal conditions for displaying artwork.

Submission Requirements

Your proposal package should include:

  • Artist bio and CV (max 3 pages)
  • Artistic or curatorial statement describing your body of work, its status (completed or in progress), and anticipated completion date if applicable (max 1 page)
  • Exhibition proposal detailing installation plans and technical requirements (max 2 pages)
  • Up to 10 images of proposed work in .jpeg format at 72 dpi resolution
  • Documentation list with artwork titles, sizes, media, creation dates, etc.

Please note whether displayed work will be for sale. Centre 64 receives a 30% commission on artwork sold during exhibitions and covers CARFAC fees for non-saleable work.

How to Apply

Submissions are welcome anytime and are reviewed several times throughout the year by the selection committee.
